Iranian Minister of Industry has threatened to expel SCANIA

PersianKhodro: A member of the Civil Commission of Iranian parliament said: “Iranian Minister of Industry announced that if the delegation from SCANIA Co. fails to give a convincing explanation, we are ready to do the necessary actions to change the company’s production line of busses.”

According to PersianKhodro report, Mehrdad Lahouti, Langerood representative in Parliament, referred to the meeting of Civil Commission and said: “The minister of Industry, minister of Roads and Urban Development and some officials from emergency center and police department were present at this meeting and they discussed about the accident in Tehran- Qom road but the final conclusion of their report to the commission was not made and the exact cause of the accident and its culprits remained unknown.”

He added: “A committee is appointed to investigate the causes of accident and give its final report about culprits of that to the Commission as soon as possible. The committee was also tasked to make necessary strategies in order to prevent recurrence of such incidents.”

The member of the Civil Commission of Iranian parliament said: “A Swedish delegation will come to Iran in coming days and with cooperation of Iran’s Institute of Standards, they will evaluate these types of busses. In addition, it was decided that the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development monitors the safety equipment of busses.”

According to Fars News, Lahouti noted: “Minister of Industry announced that if the Swedish delegation, which is coming to Iran to evaluate the standards of SCANIA busses, fails to have a convincing explanation about the accident, we are ready to do the necessary actions to change the production line of these busses.”
